1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be legally able to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

2. Veterinary and emergency disclaimers

PetAider is not a veterinary clinic and does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency services.

AI and software-generated outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and are for informational support only.

Do not rely on the Service for life-threatening or emergency situations. Contact a licensed veterinarian or emergency clinic immediately if urgent care may be needed.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate account details and keep them current.

We may require identity verification for sensitive actions such as account recovery, provider linking, data export, and deletion requests.

4. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful pet-care planning and account-management purposes.

Do not abuse, reverse engineer, probe, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service.

Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or unauthorized third-party personal data.

5. User content and license

You retain ownership of content you upload or submit.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions required to submit your content.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can manage subscriptions through the relevant purchase channel (web billing portal or app store).

Fees, taxes, discounts, and billing cycle terms are shown at checkout and may change prospectively with notice where required.

Refund eligibility, if any, is governed by applicable law and the payment channel terms (including app-store rules where applicable).

7. Referral and affiliate programs

Referral benefits are promotional and may be provided as discounts or credits applied to qualifying charges, subject to posted program rules.

Affiliate payouts, eligibility, and withdrawal controls are governed by the affiliate terms shown in-product and may require payout onboarding.

We may modify, suspend, or terminate referral or affiliate programs to prevent abuse or comply with law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for misuse, security risk, policy violations, or legal compliance reasons.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion under our Privacy Policy.

9. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 100 CAD.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PetAider and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or unlawful content you submit.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If a dispute arises, the parties will first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting support.

Unless prohibited by applicable law, unresolved disputes will be brought exclusively in courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service, security practices, and legal requirements evolve.

Material changes will be reflected by an updated Last updated date and version.
